BLOG POST 2(Impacts of Overfishing in the Caribbean on the depletion of the Ecosystem)

In my science communication course, my main topic is overfishing in the Caribbean which is divided into four subtopics. My blog would talk about how overfishing in the Caribbean impacts the depletion of the ecosystem, which is one of my subtopics. The Caribbean Sea is a very diverse ecosystem, as it contains multiple vibrant coral reefs, a variety of tropical fish species, marine life. The Caribbean Sea also contains  abundant beauty from nature as it attracts tourists from across the world due to its clear waters and tropical aesthetic. However, despite these amazing features that the Caribbean Sea offers to the world, it faces a major threat and problem, which is overfishing. Overfishing in the Caribbean, is a major problem because the Caribbean was once an environment that was thriving and flourishing with diverse wildlife, however the increase in overfishing has caused the Caribbean Sea to be pushed to the brink, especially its natural environment which is causing the ecosystem...

BLOG POST 1(Introducing Myself)

My name is Darius Allard and I am an Environmental Science and Sustainable Technology student attending the University of the West Indies. This is my first year of doing this course and I am enjoying and understanding it so far. I fine the course is generally easy with a fairly manageable workload and assignments. However, as a new student it is a bit challenging . Although, even though I faced these few challenges, I am still very interested about what I am doing as I have always had a liking for the environment and nature.  Ever since I was a young child, I was always amazed  by nature and animals and the ecosystem. It has always sparked an interest in me influencing me as a child to learn about the natural environment and read multiple different books and watch various TV shows and documentaries about animals and different ecosystems all around the world. Afterwards, when I grew up and I finished secondary school, my interests  have never changed relating to my likenes...
